Carissa Miller

Meet Carissa Miller

Carissa is the founder of Light of the Capital, LLC, and is a certified Equine Assisted Life Coach, Wisdom Based Life Coach, and Astrologer specializing in helping growth-minded individuals find authenticity, joy, fulfillment, and purpose in their lives.

Carissa spent the last 20 years in the financial services industry and today is a Regional Vice President with Nationwide where she helps others gain confidence and security as they embark on their retirement journey. Carissa has always been a dreamer and a doer and it was at the peak of her career when Carissa learned that dreams can come true when she became the first woman to finish first in sales at a top insurance company. She had reached the top of the ladder and tasted sweet success, but shortly thereafter she was faced with a deep feeling of emptiness and depression and wondered, “is all there is to life?”

This question started a journey that led her to the Equine Assisted Coaching certification program through Equine Alchemy and then to Kepler College where she became certified as an astrologer and ultimately to Brain & Body Yoga where she was certified as a Life Coach through the Institute for Brain Education. It was a combination of working with the horses, life coaching, astrology, and her lifelong search for God that gave her the courage to take the journey of purification and become who she really is. Carissa now experiences a joy that she never knew was possible and today is blessed to have both her career in financial services and her own business as a life coach where she can support other individuals who are being confronted with this same question and are ready to embark on their own inner journey.

Carissa currently resides on her “dream farm” in Darnestown, MD with her husband Clark. In her free time, she loves playing guitar, traveling, practicing yoga and Qigong, reading, and spending time with her friends, family, and many animals.
